Description of the circuit

Day 1 – Bordeaux – Saint-Médard – 24 km
Arrival in Bordeaux. The stage is short, take the opportunity to visit the city and its small streets, everything is done for your comfort with the many bike paths. You will then leave the city and head towards Lacanau through the greenery.
Night and breakfast in a 2 or 3 star hotel.

Day 2 – Saint-Médard – Lacanau – 49 km 
Through the pine forest, you will go down towards the ocean and its sublime panoramas. The well-maintained bicycle path will make your day trip very pleasant and you will have plenty of time to enjoy the pine trees, the sand and the Atlantic Ocean.
Night and breakfast in a 2 or 3 star hotel.

Day 3 – Lacanau – Arcachon – 44 km 
You will leave the small village of Lacanau in the direction of Arcachon. This day will astonish you by the diversity of the routes taken and the landscapes. Take the time to visit the small villages you will pass through and get lost in the streets of Cap Ferret. Direction then the pier to reach Arcachon by boat, the crossing will offer you a unique view of the basin.
Night and breakfast in a 2 or 3 star hotel.

Day 4 – several possible itineraries today according to your wishes
– The dune of Pilat and the beaches (26 km) to discover this mythical place!
– Gujan Mestras and the Leyre Delta (41 km) to discover the ostreicultural port and its producers to taste magnificent oysters just fished then direction the natural reserve of the Leyre Delta to observe the numerous birds and their habitat.
– The lake of Cazaux (45 km), you leave Arcachon and leave behind you the Dune du Pilat to take a superb small road which crosses the countryside to reach the lake of Cazaux.
End of the hike in Arcachon.

Access

• By plane: flight to Bordeaux, then shuttle to the city centre.
• By train: From Paris-Montparnasse station, take a direct TGV train to Bordeaux. Journey time is estimated at 3h20. To plan your trip, www.voyages-sncf.com.
• If you are coming by car, you can park your car in a secure car park near your accommodation and the Bordeaux Saint-Jean train station. This car park is secure and is open from 5am to 1am. It is accessible to vehicles up to 1m90. The rate is 6€/day and decreases according to the duration of parking. The location and coordinates of the car park will be indicated in your travel documents.
