Day 1: Arrival in Blois
Your adventure begins in Blois and its old town centre, get ready to climb the many steps linked by small streets each more charming than the other. Take the time to visit its castle located on the heights of the city.
Day 2: Blois – Bracieux – 29 km
The day begins with a visit to the famous Max Vauché chocolate factory. Fill your nostrils with these incredible smells and fill your taste buds with the creations of this chocolate maker. You will then set off to discover the most famous of the Loire Valley castles, the Château de Chambord, a true nugget of the French Renaissance. The day will end in Bracieux, a small typical Sologne village with its superb 16th century market hall.
Day 3: Bracieux – Cheverny – 12 km or 33 km
We propose you today to discover the castle of Cheverny whose fame goes beyond our borders thanks to the draftsman Hergé who was inspired by it to create the Castle of Moulinsart where the swearwords of Captain Hadock resound. If you listen carefully, you can hear them as you harp through the magnificent rooms of this castle. The children will be conquered by the exhibition “the Secrets of Moulinsart” which will allow them to follow the steps and adventures of their hero! For the older ones, we propose you the tasting of the wines of the appellation “Cheverny”, a day for the whole family!
Day 4: Cheverny – Blois – 22 km
A more exclusive day awaits you today. The Loire River is full of small castles like Troussay which is much more private than Chambord or Cheverny, a Renaissance manor house or the Château de Beauregard known for its gallery of 327 portraits. You will continue through the forest of Russy to reach Blois where your journey ends!
