The hike

Day 1: Arrival in Bordeaux

Thanks to the ideally located hotel that we have selected for you, you can easily discover Bordeaux. This city, which its inhabitants walk or cycle most of the time, will offer you peaceful moments with its large wooded areas, moments full of history when you will cross its magnificent buildings and will allow you to discover the pleasures of its Bordeaux nights. The many bicycle paths will allow you to visit in complete safety!

Day 2: Bordeaux – Cadillac – 49 km

Now you’re ready to leave town! To do so, you will take the rural cycle path that will take you to typical villages in the region such as Creon before crossing the vineyards of Cadillac and finally its fortified enclosure.

Day 3: Cadillac – Saint-Emilion – 50 km

Today you will leave for another day of discovery of Bordeaux wines. You will cross great vineyards from the Garonne to the Dordogne, passing through charming villages such as Razan, known for its medieval castle, a witness to our past. Then you will head towards one of the stops essential to your tour, the village of Saint Emilion and its many historical monuments.

Day 4: Saint-Emilion – Blaye – 64 km

The day’s stopover will take you to Blaye and its citadel overlooking the Gironde, listed as a historical monument. To reach this small village steeped in history, you will cycle through the vineyards of the Côtes de Blay.

Day 5: Blaye – Bordeaux – 61 km (Pauillac option + 20 km)

To reach the Médoc vineyards and the village of Lamarque, you will take a ferry to cross the Gironde! For lovers of the great vintages you can now offer yourself an escape to Pauillac, it will lengthen this last stage a little bit but the game is worth it! After a short stay at Château Margaux, you will pedal gently to Bordeaux. End of the hike in Bordeaux.
